Service Description

This class packs a double whammy. In the morning you'll be learning from artisan blade smith Sergio Muelle of Twisted Horseshoe Knives. Bring your own kitchen knives along and learn how to sharpen them properly with a series of whetstones. In the afternoon you'll be putting those keen edges to the test as you hone your practical knife skills with Linda. You could be learning the old-school French way of jointing a chicken, breaking a venison haunch into steaks, spatchcocking a bird and/or discovering the best way to open up a pork fillet for stuffing. We'll look at rubs and marinades and you'll take home everything you make. There will also be the opportunity for you to buy from Sergio’s range of knives and sharpeners if you’d like to. Tea/coffee/welcome cookies and lunch are provided, along with all ingredients and materials, recipes and aprons. All you need to bring are a couple of lidded tubs and a chiller bag to take home your creations. And your knives, of course.
